Animal population down big time since 1970

The article I read about was how research from World Wildlife Fund found that between hunting, habitat destruction, environmental degradation and the effects of climate change, the world's animal populations of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish has dropped 52 percent since 1970. To me from this article it's crazy what the numbers show and how not a lot of people are not taking notice of this topic of biodiversity list.

This article relates to class because we have been talking about the 5 main categories and what's the root cause of them and to me  it falls into the category of biodiversity, Because it talks about how much the population of Mammals, birds, and fish have dropped since 1970. Also it could fall under Water poplution and Air population because some of the animals such as birds and fish numbers are going down because of it.

Based on the article I feel like us as humans are the root cause because we are the one who are killing all of these animals and are making the environment bad for the animals to survive. I feel like if we don't do something about this now before it's to late. But this article makes you think about the bigger picture and makes you think about all the damage we have done since 1970 to the animals.
